Papa's got a brand new gig. Domori as Samurai Renaissance Man: kills multiple attackers with blinding speed & precision to make Beatrix Kiddo drool; then the next moment serenely serves tea in utter peace, order, & ceremonial harmony as a prelude to writing beautiful poetry.
Appearance   3.9 / 5
Color: fairly light brown (almost sandbar) w/ orange cast
Surface: tale of 2 sides: smooth front / backside beatdown
Temper: little tired; semi-gloss
Snap: thick, solid mold; huge crack; striations along the break
Aroma   8 / 10
big tobacco & potent black tea smoked in a wood kiln just dominate, cut by small but significant rubber & souring citrus
Mouthfeel   12.1 / 15
Texture: thin start; takes on medium body
Melt: clean & complacent
Flavor   44.3 / 50
tea & peat surrounded by lightly frazzled cocoa -> unexpected sweet yam at mid-palate to an even sweeter one before mounting acidity turns it citric (meyer lemon, then tangelo)... stays richly in this pocket, all flavors commingled -> merges into orange pekoe tea (backcross to the beginning) 'n cream (Criollo heritage) -> rapid decay
Quality   17.8 / 20
This, along with Madagared, one of Domori's best outside his familiar turf of South America. The 'low impact' processing attenuated here in PNG by pre-sets of a) fire-dried beans of some pedigree grown in the island's volcanic soil & b) moderate fermentation. Once under Domori's direct control, coaxed with probably a long but lazy conche.
