Bookcase Location: BOTTOM SHELF – Honorable Mention

A curio & quaint booklet published in 1891, before Milton Hershey even got into the game, let alone chocolate becoming the American candy rage. Walter Baker, the 1st commercial chocolate manufacturer in the USA, operating out of a river mill in Dorchester, MA, is still today the oldest extant grocery trademark in the country. Some of the sections are anachronistic, but overall, gives a good feel for the spirit of the times, including a wake-up cocoa that combines well with Wheaties™ for a breakfast of championship chocolate.
