Sao Tome

Ill-advised compound. Like eating pomegranate stripped of pulp. A mouthful of nibs is all that’s left after chocolate quickly melts away... with neither doing much for the other, especially when both need it most.

		Appearance   4 / 5
			| Color: | titian brown |
| Surface: | scuffed; grease spatter on the back |
| Temper: | glossy |
| Snap: | sharp & clean |
Aroma   5.1 / 10

coconut & espresso punctured by mild alcohol & distant green olive w/ dusky undertones
			Mouthfeel   10.6 / 15
			| Texture: | big crunch |
| Melt: | rapid, leaving nibs behind |
Flavor   36.4 / 50

coffee vaporizes into espresso liqueur -> spice hit (pepper / licorice) -> off-note on lime stone -> stabilizes w/ peanut attributed to, & accentuated by, nib textures -> distant red berry
			Quality   12.2 / 20

Significantly sweet for a 75% - with nibs no less. Narrow flavor range for an origin that’s already a bit limited & nibs only circumvent it further. To compound matters, Godiva leaves São Tomé’s oft-characteristic aggressiveness intact.
