Info Details
Country USA   (Emeryville,CA)
Style Mainstream
Very surface oriented / lacking both valence & depth. Moreover, missing true identity to really standout.
Presentation   4 / 5
mix of enrobed & molded, good-looking if unspectatular
Aromas   4.1 / 5
chocolate fusion that’s high on the butter side
Textures/Melt   7.4 / 10
Shells: medium-light
Centers: firm; smooth
Flavor   35.1 / 50
fresh, clear & all over the lot, trying to satisfy every market niche, depending on collection; some subtle, many pronounced
Quality   20.9 / 30
Male equivalent of an ingenue
Couverture: El Rey, Guittard, Cacao Barry
Fresh Mint Truffle – respectable; mint embedded on a tart mat foretelling El Rey
Lavender Honey – woodshed construction site; lumberjack sawdust
Kahlua – another wild throw / swing tart for the sake of saying we could
Raspberry – kick-starts w/ the zing of passion fruit before chocolate feebly steps off
Lime – similar fate as Raspberry w/ marginally improved chocolate presence that rallies by the finish
Coconut – feckless
Caramel – big butterscotch; glued consistency; molasses wind up
