No Maybach or Benzy ride here; more like a homespun Venzy scraper bike.
Presentation   4.6 / 5
smartly functional & utilitarian; festively enrobed pieces
Aromas   4.7 / 5
tropicana fruits
Textures/Melt   6.9 / 10
Shells: medium to thick
Centers: mostly soft cake granular
Flavor   38.7 / 50
fruit-forward in keeping w/ being honest to the elements
Quality   22.4 / 30
Venezuela has some enviable quality in their raw agricultural resources, allowing chocolatiers the latitude to rely more heavily on the ingredients rather than culinary craft, as here with an approach more coarse & less refined compared to European standards.
Selections
Couverture: El Rey
Passion Fruit - brassy w/ too little chocolate underscoring but really true citrus clarity
Pineapple-Coconut - Dark shell on White interior; elements just singing clear; again, a little too shy on chocolate presence
Milk Chocolate - smarts a liqueur additive (rum) w/ tonka quality to it; excellent
White-on-Dark - another rum teaser giving way to a dark butter cream; good lateral movement & flavor development to an exceptional finish
Strawberry - slight gummy bear center gives off fake fruit / Hi-C flavors incl the cake frosting White Choc FXs; resolves itself more naturally at the end
Vanilla - White-on-Dark; plain, simple, & direct
