Surprisingly little mystery in this dark Theo-cratic regime. As disciplined as the Supreme Council of the IRI. In this, or any church, you may pray for more excitement but, like a good Eucharist, these are soul-binding pieces.

plain shipping paper; simple stark squares

transparent
						Textures/Melt   9.1 / 10

deceptively lazy & hazy like the Northwest itself; dark & in the woods of surrounding mountains (where do you go from here?)... then the clearing breaks & direction becomes obvious: dominated by lots of earthbound bass notes; even bright tones (lemon / ginger) turn out darkened
						Quality   27.4 / 30

Exceptional & authentic
						Selections
							| Couverture: | in-house |
Fig Fennel – damn original; add in Merlot & it alchemizes a psychological curry; signature material
Ivory Coast – direct & basic; somewhat cool, even metallic &, as advertised, cinnamon inflected
Burnt Sugar – better ID’d as a honey-caramel-custard; soft & slow on the imagination, little backbone, but still standouts
Scotch – a strong pour & a chocolate counter equal to the match; seaside-splashed oak cask, heather & en-tropic heat
Earl Grey – goes bergamot, lemon-lime & then antiseptic; perfect for avoiding child abuse suits while washing their mouths out; insistent finish too
Coffee – choc takes a backseat in the convertible & falls out onto the street; full café tannins w/ a salted dimension
Lemon - busy, jostled & loud
PB&J – raspberry the Smuckers stand-in for this wafer-praline kids-stuff sandwich
Mint – under-girded by a woody pull thru the forest
