So blank & bland it's reverse-flavor: sucks flavor out of your mouth.
Appearance   4.1 / 5
Color: gritty orange-brown, dark for its class & composition
Surface: fine
Temper: matte finish
Snap: plunk
Aroma   6.7 / 10
coconut, oak, vanilla, malt ball, grain; not so much wood but pulp... dusty old library pages crumbling at the lightest sigh
Mouthfeel   12.8 / 15
Texture: only identifying mark, & a big one in otherwise featureless piece, but helpless to the rescue because it's integral to the problem
Melt: lengthy
Flavor   15.6 / 50
flatliner: tasteless butter -> flavorless coconut -> white paper -> flash malt -> stay long enough, & really concentrate, a cocktail cherry pops up
Quality   10.2 / 20
No acid, no bitter, just butter & sugar (CBS ratio of ~2:3:3 seems exaggerated). Sugar drowned in fat which eviscerates & basically disembodies the bean by ripping its balls off. Mysterious how it looks so damned dark. Cluizel's version of Dutch courage? Doubtful, but possibly steamed the beans in processing.
