Open wide... wider... a little more... now wider still... because more than just the elephant's in the room: the entire Circus Prieto.

Have some.

Flavor   47.2 / 50
roasted cocoa, robust & rich, complimented by sweet pistachios -> gummy-bear apricots tilts the progression toward candy -> chocolate holds firm in Flavor if not Texture to avoid any fruitcake quality -> instead a pound-cake lightly doused in honeyed-brandy emerges for the finish
Quality   17.6 / 20
More thrills from Prieto's 'slaboratory' -- its cocoa lab that turns out these fun-filled slabs.

Don't kid yourself though: this contains some serious intent too as it cards the taste-buds with those adult tags by the end.

DR cacáo rose to fame years ago, thanks to the fireworks from Los Ancones Estate, based largely on chocolate packed with notes of green picholine olives & sun dried apricots. The pistachio in this bar accents the former while the added fruit amplifies the latter.

A smart compound. Prieto feeding the gallery with a lot more than just peanuts.

ING: cocoa mass, sugar, pistachios, dried apricots & vanilla
