This bar parties like a pre-adolescent from the naughts: The Peas are all over it with "Let’s Get It Started". After that wears thin, as it inevitably does (even to fatally aging Miley ‘Party in the USA’ fans), it morphs into teendom with Weezer & L’il Wayne cue'd up on the deck -- "Can’t Stop Partying" -- for the takeover, sampled with a little mixology... say, "Stop The Party (Remix)" f. Cam’ron, DMX, Ghostface, & Swizz alternating between the 10,000 Maniacs’-inflected “Shake It Up” by Manchester Orchestra.

Seriously wants to shake the tree, the hormones readying to bust out. You get the mash.
Appearance   4.4 / 5

Color: crimson brown
Surface: random distribution of dried ginger
Temper: splotched
Snap: nice 'n high
Aroma   8.1 / 10
vibrant spices (the obvious ginger; the less obvious coriander) 'n nuts (pistachio / walnuts / hickory), all atop cardboard
Mouthfeel   11.4 / 15
Texture: check the polygrip -- gummy
Melt: shards & shrapnel
Flavor   37.2 / 50
starts up a bit of a klutz: sharp ginger rents the mouth -> cocoa trying to gain a purchase, repelled by spice burn -> meanders unto walnut to transform the profile into gingerbread -> dissolves ginger ale
Quality   13.9 / 20
Nothing too calibrated as with Chris & Tom's Zurawina, another flavored bar from The D.R.

Unlike that, the alignment here reveals only a little about this cacáo's Dominican roots, overpowered by ginger relative to it. The FXs of spice bread & soft drinks at the end are comforting nonetheless.

A demo that Mānoa's better work might reside toward the confectionary side of the business.
