The grasp of a newborn baby is so strong that its whole body can hang in midair, with its bent fingers supporting its weight.

This bar can practically do the same.
Appearance   4.4 / 5
Color: deep purple-mahagony
Surface: still-active molten motion
Temper: almost plastic-perfect
Snap: tough plunk
Aroma   8.2 / 10
in accord with its Surface… sticky sap runneth over
gooey tree-resins, as if the ferment's still on
Mouthfeel   14 / 15
Texture: fleshy chewing gum with good air / hang time
Melt: easier than Sunday afternoons
Flavor   44.1 / 50
fruit juicy right off (bright, acidic, & sweet) -> under-curling cocoa -> northern Peru's 2013 treacle harvest (creeps into every bar from there that year) -> resolves to succulent cherimoya -> almond closer
Quality   16.2 / 20
The finale of Barsmiths' Peruvian exploration series (Amazonas; Gran Blanco; Morron) crowning them the specialists of Peruvian cacáo in the northern hemisphere in league with A. Morin & Josef Zotter. The 3 cover the country more than any others combined.

In some respects the most complete chocolate so far from Barsmiths™. Good high-to-low range / depth.

The label touches it with an exquisitely preferential roast before transferring the contents to a 60-hour conch. While Flavor could stand a few more hours of development, Texture decidedly counsels against any prolonged refinement… absolutely soft lip on the chew.

A nice enough effort to wonder where these gold-diggers shall venture to next.

INGREDIENTS: cocoa mass, sugar
