Ever unafraid of reality, Zotter writes: “Difficulty visiting the growers during my last stay in Peru. The government just dropped a bomb against its own people. The illicit cultivation of cocaine repeatedly provokes unrest in the region. As long as growers can earn more with cocaine than cocoa, nothing will change. That is why I buy in this seething country.”

Any bar so highly rated should prove tamper-resistant. But Herr Josef Zotter, next time down in Peru, consider undertaking this peace process: swap out the sugar & milk for another kind of ‘brown paste / white powder’ foreign policy by combining coca with cocoa. They go together well; the former adds a touch of bitterness to this inherently mild cacáo. Every one will be ecstatic... from the growers to consumers; & you may single-handedly cause a halt in the “war on drugs”.

Super sublimated of unreal restraint. The kind of MC that shapes a place of quiet intensity & balanced symmetry. TBE considering this bar’s parentage (Nibs and Das 100). Naranjillo’s ever mild cocoa dappled in fruited accents (mainly white types) achieved with a milk counterpoint, plus a complex sugar mix & delicate touch of vanilla orchids. Gently rolled then finished with only a 12-hour conching (!!) for seamless harmonic convergence – all without the electrostatic properties of lecithin or pectin.

ING: raw cane sugar, cacáo butter, whole milk pwdr (21%), cocoa mass, whole cane sugar, salt, vanilla
