Now another Nordic staple, this one however -- the red Lingonberry -- falls more in line with ABBA than Saab.

straight lingonberry, strong & long, with intermittent chocolate (so sweet to verge on Milk Chocolate) dodging in 'n out -> melts off into an evergreen

A clarion of lingon. About as red as it gets; as if Madagascar's naturally inhering raspberries / cranberries multiplied exponentially by a lignonberry add-in.

Though cultivated all along the arctic of the Northern Hemisphere, lingonberries & Sweden have become synonymous. So tart it often ends up there in compotes & jams & the like to sweeten its acidity.

Cacáo with its high cocoa butter content can also curb's this berries bracing excesses... but only to a point. It needs sugar's help. Together they all combine for what amounts to a virtual lingonberry pie with a chocolate crust.
