cocoa lost in a coffee smarting with pepper & blackberry

Another one of these combos fashioned by boutique specialty hook-ups (Askinosie's Intelligentsia, Mast Bros Stumptown, French Broad's Riverbend Malted Milk, etc.).

Ritual presents cocoa here in support of coffee, rather than the other way around.

And supports it well. Or perhaps sugar plays the main supporting role.

65% cacáo-content too timid to stand up to this coffee. Doubly so considering that this bar solders a streamline Ecuadorian Balao cocoa to Ethiopian Anyetsu coffee (with its own intrinsic sweetness) by Novo roasters.

Still, an easy, winsome piece.

INGREDIENTS: cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, coffee
