Like rats deserting a sinking ship...

... Crestfallen devotées of Che, Fidel and Hugo have plenty of cause to bail on the dream.

Seeing "the light" just off in the distance... the shimmer of central planning... the sheen of collectivization... & the sparkle of re-education.

Then the ultimate glow... like the sun rising in the east...

...Of glorious REVOLUTION unveiled – universal healthcare & no rent! Food stamps & soup kitchens. Clothes for nothing in exchange for sweatshops closed. Yea.

The sought-after destination on the treasure map; “This has gotta be it!”

Just visualizing the party, & more than halfway there -- with the masses onboard.

Well, when that doesn’t quite work (work? Who the F wants to work) in times like these, desperate comrades pull out those old hardcover books & loose-binder courses on Das Capital, The Little Red Book and Rules for Radicals even though those “leaky lifeboats” have been tried 3 or 4 times already.

Sad & completely unnecessary.

Because the urban zones are now wired with free wi-fi! Yes, the revolution can be digitized. The proverbial 'free lunch' -- you pay for with the rest of your life -- back within reach. Sponsored by Big Data tracking everybody's every move & every impulse. Free at last…. free at last… thank God Almighty, FREEDOM. Vivez La Facebook.

And meanwhile, we interrupt this download to report that, apparently, cacáo can still be smuggled out of Chavista Venezuela for a pretty penny. The furtive Security-Financial Nexus wondering ‘what about the cashless society we plotted?’ No worries… Bitcoin is handling that.

Buy this bar until then... & choc on….

Strangest / damnedest Venezuela in a long time.. Ditto the reputed Porcelana... like maybe ever.

None of the buttery nuts, the cream, the soft fruits typically associated with either this origin or varietal. Tastes instead of raucous Central American fare. Yes, rivals "Mexican Porcelana"!

A feral if not quite wild flavor signature; practically unbridled. Sourced from Cacao Marquez which consults with the Chama research station around Sur del Lago, Venezuela. Whether Sub-Andean (re: Criollo Andino) or the genuine Porcelana (exerting some atypical terroir), both equally fabled & rather rare.

INGREDIENTS: cocoa mass, sugar
