As Christina Valhouli writes on the Motherlode, she breast-fed her first child exclusively for over half a year &… couldn’t wait to be done with it. After 7 months of nighttime feeds, leaky breasts & the appearance of small, razor-sharp teeth, Christina felt finished. She tried everything to get him to take a bottle, & he stubbornly refused. He was happy to go on a hunger strike until a breast was procured. Christina even resorted to walking around the house sucking on a bottle happily — and noisily — in front of him to drop the message.

Of course, she might’ve weaned him with some Milk Chocolate. It ain’t quite puree but what else is?

When asked, a tennis acquaintance from Sweden (they all play tennis there, no?; Borg; Wilander; Edberg; Soderling) now living in the USA says this Malmö’s was the mother’s milk of his infancy.

quite devoid at first whiff, then pops cream, butter + biscuit crumbs wafting over from nearby Nordic neighbor as in a plain Danish pastry
grows out sticky infants' formula caramel
Mouthfeel   9.1 / 15
Texture: Wax Factor™
Melt: oleaginous, almost curdled AMF (Anhydrous Milk Fat)
Flavor   38.4 / 50
light allspice 'n cinnamon & buttered breadcrumbs -> graham crackers -> gentle honey caramel as the butter rolls up thick, heavy & waxen -> spices still cut thru though -> slides away on a brief cocoa slick back

Like some 10-pound newborn shot thru the birth canal, this too looks big but 45% cacáo-content should hardly fool anyone... only confuse some.

A butterball of a bar, most of the cacáo-content resides in cocoa butter rather than cocoa mass. As such it joins other Milk Chocolate "heavyweights" (Dark-Milk or other wise) that turn out to be pap in a pussy cat's bowl (re: Valrhona's Jivara; Choklat's 48% Brazil Milk; Hachez Maracaibo; et. al.). Both the quality of the butter hardness & the rate of cooling to which this bar was subjected throw the Texture off dismally.

Quite the persistent & durable cocoa however. Most other seed types would've buckled & perished under the onslaught of so much sugar & fat. And, remarkably, all of it without added vanilla here.

The formula? Seems that Malmö watered down its spice-laden Master Blend, including a helping of Ecuador, with milk & butter, then mimicked the mouthfeel in its Peru 85%.

Just insert as any pacifier for peace & quiet & relief from someone else's teeth marks or your own overbite.
